Invisalign is a series of clear, removable aligners made from a patented SmartTrack material that gently and gradually shift your teeth into alignment. Each aligner is custom-fit to your smile using digital 3D scans, allowing for a highly personalized and predictable outcome.

You’ll typically wear each set of trays for one weeks, around 20 to 22 hours per day, only removing them to eat, drink, and brush. Many patients begin to see visible improvements in just a few months, with full results typically achieved in 6 to 18 months depending on the case.

Although there are now many companies providing alternative aligner therapies, we at Modern Orthodontics believe that Invisalign is still the highest quality product that exists.  We therefore exclusively use Invisalign products for our patients who choose aligner therapy.

Your Invisalign journey starts with a digital scan—no impressions or molds needed. We’ll utilize that scan to create your personalized Invisalign aligners. Drs. Cooperman and Dr. Romao personally design your treatment plan, using their decades of experience to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of your orthodontic experience. Once your trays are ready, you’ll receive detailed instructions on how to wear and care for them.

You’ll come in for check-ins approximately every 10 weeks so we can ensure your progress stays on track. Consistent aligner wear is essential to achieve the best results of your treatment!  Once your treatment is complete, we’ll fit you with a retainer to help maintain your new smile long-term.

Treatment time varies based on your individual smile. Most Invisalign patients at Modern Orthodontics complete treatment in 3 to 24 months. The more consistently you wear your aligners, the faster you’ll see results. More complex cases may take longer, but we’ll outline your estimated timeline during your consultation.

Taking care of your aligners is simple and essential for keeping them clear and odor-free. We recommend the following:

• Rinse and brush your trays daily, or cleanse them with soap and a Q-tip or piece of fabric to maintain their transparency.
• Only drink water while wearing them—remove for all other beverages
• Clean with Invisalign Cleaning Crystals or a mild soap
• We will provide you with a protective case in which to store your aligners when they are not in use
